The body of a girl named Elaine Green was discovered on a vacant piece of land at Marrickville. The girl’s throat had been cut. Her parents had been living apart. Last night the father visited the house in a most excited state, and, after a heated discussion with his wife, took the girl away Later he returned and said that little Elaine was now out of trouble. He produced a razor and a bottle of chlorodyne, and said that he would also finish himself. He then disappeared. Police are still searching for him.
