FRED THOMSON STARS AT QUEEN’S.
Well in keeping with its reputation for good Western programmes, the Queen’s Theatre this week presents the old favourite, Fred Thomson in “Lone Hand Saunders,” a story of that part of the United States where all the men wear revolvers, and all the women are beautiful. It is a good film from more than one aspect. Those who delight in the quick action and startling developments generally associated with Western pictures will not be disappointed. Neither will those to whom romance in the most delightful Western form appeals. The second attraction is another Western, entitled “Smilin’ Jim,” featuring Franklin Farnum, who plays a dual role with success. Several comedies and gazettes complete a good programme.
