NEW OFFICERS ELECTED FOR ST PATRICK’S SPORTS.

A meeting of St Patrick's Athletic Sports Association was held last night, Mr P. J. Smyth presiding over a good attendance. The Canterbury Centre of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association wrote approving of the programme for the coming sports, and granting permission to the association to hold the meetln The chairman reported that permission had been granted to the association to use English Park for the coming sports meeting. „„„ , It was decided that in the 880yds secondary schools relay race the age limit of competitors be altered to sixteen years instead of seventeen years, as hitherto. The following were appointed officers for the sports:—Superintendent of sports, Mr B. .1. M’Kenna; chief consul, Mr W. J. W. Walter; referee, Mr v\. J. Walter; handicapp«rs, amateur athletics, to be appointed by Amateur Athletic Association; cash athletics, Messrs S. Cox and L. Harwell: cash cycling, Messrs Walter and P. C. Lucas; judges, amateur athletics and cycling, Messrs C. S. Thomas, W. C. Flewellyn, M. Ballin, J. K. Moloney; cash athletics, Messrs .1. M. Coffey, R. Nash, Q. Henderson and J. Cromhie; cash cycling, Messrs A. It. O’Donoghue, P. C. Crooke and L. Monkman; official recorder, Mr L. T. J. Ryan; announcers, Messrs A. B. L. Smith and J. Lynch; timekeepers, Messrs W. E. Simes, W.
