Average closing rates;—6o-64’s super (nominal), 2s 4d to 2s fd per lb, average Is 9d to 2s Id per lb; 56-58’s (nominal), 2s 3d to 2s 6«1 per lb; 50-56’s, 2s to 2s 3d per lb; 48-50’s, Is 9d to Is lid per lb; 44-4e*s. Is 7d to Is 8d per lb; 36-40’s, Is 5d to Is 6d per lb. Ot the total colonial offerings, 88,090 bales were sold. 51,000 for export, including 2500 for America. Market dosed very firm, with all sections of trade buying. Next series commence March 13. LAND SALE. Messrs Fyne, Gould. Guinness, Ltd., held a. land sale at their offices this morning, when two properties weie offered for sale. No bids were received for a property of 108 acres at Amberley on account of the estate of R. E. Wornall. The other property offered, 193 acres at Russell Flats, was purchased by the mortgage*?.
