YES! TOM LOWRY HAS A MERRY CREW.

. (BY SINBAD.) The Windy City boasts, it seems, of would-be Ponsfords not a few, for visiting provincial teams have all departed feeling blue. The Aucklanders were last to meet Tom Lowry and his merry men, and now the spectre of defeat is facing Auckland once again. First James and Lowry made the pace, amassing shameless centuries, and then M'Girr was hard to face andskittled Aucklanders with ease. That was itself enough to hurt, but I’m compelled to stir my pen to call it rubbing in the dirt when Wellington went in again. A humble seven thirty five is all that Auckland needs to win; and so I vow as I’m alive that Wellington may just scrape in.
