MOVEMENTS OF N.Z. NAVAL DIVISION ARE ANNOUNCED.
(Special to the “Star.”) WELLINGTON, December 28. The schedule of movements of H.M.S. Dunedin and H.M.S. Diomede for the ensuing three months has been announced by the Minister of Defence (Hon F. J. Rolleston). The programme includes visits by both vessels to Lyttelton. The programme for I-I.M.S. Dunedin is arranged for the period from January 16 to April 17, and that for H.M.S. Diomede for the period from January 16 to May 3. The Dunedin will reach Hauraki Gulf from Auckland on Mondaj% January 16, and wifi remain there until Friday, January 27, when she will leave for Whangaroa, staying there until Monday, February 6. The vessel will return to Auckland that night, and ten days later will leave for New Plymouth, where she is due on Saturday, February 18. On Wednesday, February 22, the Dunedin will leave for Massacre Bay or Port Hardy, en route to Westport, where she should arrive on Friday, February 24. She will call at Greymouth on Monday, February 27, and the following day visit Milford Sounds, being due at Patersoil Inlet on Wednesday, February 29. The Dunedin will leave on Wednesday, March 7, for Timaru, remaining there until Wednesday, March 14, when she will depart for Akaroa, where a stay will be made until Wednesday, March 21. Lyttelton will be visited between March 21 and Thursday, March 29, when the ship will go on to Wellington, arriving on the morning of Friday, March 30, and staying in port until Tuesday, April 10. The Dunedin will then proceed to Napier, clearing that port on Monday, April 36, for Auckland, where she is due the following morning. The Diomede w r ill remain in the Hauraki Gulf from Monday, January 16, until Friday, January 27, when she will return to Auckland, leaving there again on Monday, January 30, for Russell. On Wednesday, February 8, she will put back for Auckland, which port she wifi clear on the evening of Thursday, February 9, for Gisborne, where she will remain until Wednesday, February 35. A stay of five days will then be made at Napier, after which the vessel will call at Wanganui (Tuesday, February 21, to Thursday, February 23), proceeding thence to Greymouth, where she is due on Friday, February 24. With the Dunedin she will leave that place for the Sounds on Monday, February 27, and both ships will be together at Paterson Inlet, between Wednesday, Febru-
ary 29, and Wednesday, March 7. On the latter date the Diomede will proceed alone to Dunedin, remaining there until Wednesday, March 14. She will join the Dunedin at Akaroa on Thursday, March 15, and both vessels will also be together in Lyttelton, between Wednesday, March 21, and Thursday, March 29. The Diomede, however, will remain at Lyttelton until Monday, April 2, when she wifi proceed to Picton and the Sounds, where she will
remain until Tuesday, April 10. The Diomede will reach Wellington as the Dunedin leaves for Napier, on the evening of Tuesday, April 10, and will remain until Tuesday, May 1. The Diomede is due back at Auckland two days
