TRAMWAY DISPUTE DISCUSSED BY UNION.

EMPLOYEES WILL ASK FOR CONCILIATION COUNCIL HEARING

A special meeting of the Christchurch Tramway Employees’ Union was held yesterday, when the Tramway Board’s reply in connection with the proposed new award was received.

The following resolution was carried: —“ That the industrial dispute which now exists between the' Tramway Board and the union, be referred to a council of conciliation for settlement." Messrs K. S. M’Gallum, J. M. Foster, and E. Snow were appointed assessors for the union.
