RIFLE MEETING HELD AT WANGANUI.

CHAMPIONSHIP OF NORTH ISLAND IS DECIDED.

Per Press Association. WANGANUI. December 28. The North Island Rifle Championship Match to-day was won by C. A. Whiteman (Upper Ilutt Club) who finished two points ahead of W. H. West (Renwick) and T. Marrett (New Plymouth). The shoot-off for second money saw West take priority. Shooting conditions were not of the best, a tricky fishtail wind beating the most experienced shots. The light was changeable, a fierce glare at times making the vision bad. Results;— CHAMPIONSHIP.
