FAMOUS DANCER MEETS SHOCKING DEATH IN EXPLOSION.
HOT WATER GEYSER BURSTS BURNING WOMAN FRIGHTFULLY,
By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Aus. and N.Z. Cable Association. BERLIN. December 27. Fraulein Lucie Kiesselhausen, a famous Viennese dancer, was killed in a shocking geyser accident. While heating water for a bath the dancer decided to clean some gloves, and was pouring out some benzine when a violent explosion occurred. The actress was immediately wrapped in a sheet of flames, while the geyser poured out steam and boiling water. Fraulein Kiesselhausen’s screams brought her mother to the scene, but the force of the explosion had jammed the door, and it was some time before an entrance was gained. Her arms and legs were terribly injured. Her hair was burned off, only her face, including her eyebrows and eyelashes, remaining uninjured. She died in hospital.
