WELLINGTON, HOLDERS, MEET CANTERBURY,

The annual match for the Brabin Shield, between the Canterbury knd Wellington junior, representative teams, will be played at Hagley Park to-morrow, and on Saturday. The Wellington team will arrive in Christchurch to-morrow morning, and return homo on Saturday night. The shield is at present held by Wellington. who had a comfortable win over Canterbury at the Basin Reserve last season by 182 runs. When the match was played in Christchurch two years ago Canterbury won easily by an innings and eleven runs. The teams for to-morrow s match arc:

Canterbury. Wellington. It. J. S. Bean. Crook. H. B. Johnston. Brettls. S. Henry. Hamilton. B. Marshall. Wilson. lX Qua id. Klliott. F. Clapshaw. Spence. C. Ward. Bryant. G. H. Newton. Hepburn. J. Philpott. Corronno. C. Candlish. Ward. G. Phillips. Caldwell. Graham, N. D. Stokes and N. Dgan are reserves for the Canterbury team. Bean, a member of the Canterbury team, is a Christ’s College boy who has shown uncommon promise as a bowler. It will be remembered that in the match between the New Zealand team and the Christ’s College eleven, Bean took six. wickets for 50 runs.
