Tho Mavor of Auburn, reporting to his council regarding failure to raise a loan from the Commonwealth Bank, said that during the interview thr> manager said it was probable the bank would have to finance a large Commonwealth loan early next year. There was a probability, too, of the interest rate being increased to 6$ per cent.
