With rain and sunshine alternately', the weather, to-day, expressed in miniature the weather of the past few weeks. After a heavy fall of rain, the clouds would break and for a time the rain puddles in the streets would glisten in the sunlight; bu£ all the while a cold wind blew, damping the spirits of the optimistic, with a threat, of future rain. To-day has been a mixture of winter and summer.
