TECHNICAL COLLEGE SPORTS. Testerday afternoon the Technical College held their annual swimming ■ports at the Municipal Tepid Baths. The entries in most of the events were good, while some of the finishes were very close. There was a large attendance of spectators. UNITED CLUB’S CARNIVAL. With satisfactory entries in all events, the United Amateur Swimming Club held a carnival at the Tepid Baths last evening:. Some good - swimmers were seen in action, and the diving events, too, attracted some fine performers. E. Woods (United) won the 220 yards boys* intermediate championship of Canterbury and Miss L. Copplestone (United) the women’s 100 yards championship of Canterbury. L. Moorhouse (United Club) was successful in his attempt to establish a new fresh-water record for the 150 yards back-stroke championship of New Zealand, lowering the record of lmin 56 4-ssec by 4-5 of a. second.
