MUSICAL RECITAL.

Mrs Gates’s Sumner pupils gave th-ri.' annual recital at Sumner last ni^r. lr. the presence of a large and enthusiastic gathering. Although the performer u were all juveniles, they organised the whole of the concert themselves, ar ranged the programme and provided all the accompaniments required for the vocal numbers. There were solos, duets and trjos for the piano, as well as songs. Claire Trudgeon, Byllee Brown, Norman Chapman, Gwenda Watson, Greta Sarelius, Bonita Rowley, Lester Muiholland, Albert Wilson; duets, Norman Chap man and Albert Wilson, Ngaire Ogier and Ann Rendle: trios, Beryl Gough, Byllee Brown and Lorna Klingensteic., Norman Chapman. Jim Stevens and Albert Wilson, Gwenda Watson, Bonita Rowley and Greta Sarelius, Norman Chapman, Lester Muiholland and Albert Wilson: -songs, Ailsa Watson and chorus, Byllee Brown, Lorna Klingenstein, Lester Muiholland and chorus. Ksme Muiholland, Beryl Gough, Claire Trudgeon, Jim Stevens. The accompanists were Misses Bonita Rowley, Gwenda Watson, Beryl Gough. Masters Frank Coc and Lester Muiholland.
