ST JOSEPHS' SCHOOL HOLDS SUCCESSFUL BREAKING-UP CONCERT.
A concert in connection with the breaking-up of the St Joseph’s School was held at the Memorial Hall. Papanui, last night. There was a large attendance. and the various items were enthusiastically received. The action songs and drills were especially good and reflected great credit on the training by the teachers. The programme included pianoforte items by Misses A. Burke. D. Blackburn, M. Rogal, M. Kyle, K. Leggett; instrumental selections by Misses B. Simon. J. Simon. A. Burke, and Master R. Simon; recitations by Miss J. Simon, Masters B. Gilmore, Peter Maguire; dialogues by Miss C. Anderson and Master C. Fisher; songs by Misses R. Allan. M. Connell. R. Stevens, M. Kermode, A. Moran. C. Barker, Masters T. Grofski, T. -wav. J. Myers, E. Sweetman. R. Weir. J. Maguire’. A Moran. Two plays werw given, “The Train to Mauro,” by Miss C. Anderson, Masters C. Cojgan, Paul Maguire. L. M'Entee; and “The Mysterious Letter,” by Misses I. Grofski, A. Burke. Masters E. Sweetman and J. Maguire. A prologue was given by Miss N. M’Entee and Master Ed. Lanfr
