MAKING PLANS FOR HOLIDAYS.

BY SINEAD. My friends are making wondrous plans towards their holiday, and when the year of toil concludes tlley’ll all exult with glee. The big idea seems to be to travel far away and spend a time as strenuous as strenuous can be. Thus Smith and Jones are working out a lengthy walking tour through Blenheim and the Buller Gorge, and down the wet West Coast, while Jackson Akaroa finds a more effective lure, where he can swim for half the day. and then of sunburn boast. M’Gregor is a tennis crack, a vision bright has he of staying in the town to give the championships a fly, while Jackson, fired by recent deeds of Mr Amery, has booked a season at Mount Cook, attempting mountains high. Yet- when they travel back to toil to start another year, they’ll be a tired and weary crew; that can with ease be guessed. I shall adept a wiser plan and simply idle here, my vision of a holiday is indolence and rest.
