OBITUARY.
MR R. H. RICHMOND. Mr Richard Hutton Richmond, whoso death occurred, at Christchurch yesterday, was . the senior partner of Richmond and Reynolds, Ltd., dentists, of Greymouth. He retired a few months ago from active work, coming to Christchurch to reside. He had resided about thirty years in Greymouth, having gone from Nelson and token over the dental practice of Mr E. 11. Deck. He was a member of the’ Masonic fraternity and held high office in the New Zealand Constitution, including that of Provincial Grand Master for West-' land and Deputy Grand Master for New Zealand. He was held in high esteem by the whole community. On the only occasion on which he sought a public position, he was returned at the top of the* poll to represent the borough on the Grey Hospital BoardHe was a prominent supporter of the Reform Party and an enthusiastic member of the Grey Acclimatisation Society. He is survived by his one daughter, Mrs J. Laurenson (Westport) and two sons, Wilfred (Dalgety and (70., Ltd., Greymouth) and Brian (Christchurch). He was about sixtyfour years of age. Mr Richmond was a son of the late Mr J. C. Richmond, and a nephew of the late Mr Justice Richmond.
