Shipping circles followed an Auntralian Federal House deb-tn over the sale of the Commonwealth Line close» ly. Ind welcomed the result. Those interested are nw eager to know the method of selling the ships. whether it will be done by tender or otherwise. It is pointed out that though the previous prohibitive condition: of sale have been removed it still will not be phin sailing for any purcluser in View of Labour's opposition to the sale. Fears are expressed regarding the attitude of some unions and the suggestion has been made that when the ships are transferred to the British register serious abour troubles may be encountered or the ships may be singled out from all others and declared black owing to the reversion to British ‘wages and condition: instead of the lAustralian conditions
