A message from Camden, New Jersey, states that the aircraft-carrier Saratoga, the largest ship ever built in the United States, will be moved shortly from the shipyard to Philadelphia Navy Yard. The Saratoga, which has been under construction for seven years, will be formally placed in commission on November 16. The craft is SBB feet long, 106 feet wide at the flying deck, and will displace 33,000 tons at service load.
