WAR PENSIONS COST £6,350,000 ANNUALLY IN GREAT BRITAIN.
By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. A.P.A. and Sydney “ Sun ’* Cable. LONDON, November 11. The Ministry of Pensions announces that war pensioners, including widows and children, number 1,66,000. The year’s payments amount to £6,350,000. The number is decreasing at the rate of 4000 per annum. Sixty-eight thousand war widows have re-married.
