Y.M.C.A. DIRECTORS HOLD MEETING.
i The monthly mooting of the T3l CiA Board of Directors was held last night there being presen t—Messrs Jordan ‘President), A. F. Carey, W. Goss, J. W. I Hilary, E D. Johnson S. w. Jameson, A. M. \\ est and fe. Wilkinson. ! 5 , 1 r Jordan, on behalf of the board, ! welcomed Mr Jameson to the directorate i and wished him many years of useful i service. The general secretary in his report stated that all the concluding functions of the winter season were marked bv good attendances and by a spirit of keenness amongst tlie members. He stated that the prospects for next year were exceedingly bright in so far as activities were concerned. The Boys’ Work Director reported that the membership of the bovs’ department was 401. The outstanding feature of the month of September had been the visit to industrial centres the attendances at these outings totalling 1051. Mr Wilkinson and Mr Hillary reported ou the Father and Son Banquet, i which had reached the record attendance j of 350 fathers and sons. The board instructed the general secretary to write to the secretary of the Boys’ Gordon Hall Auxiliary thanking her helpers for the splendid work they did in connection with the function. It was reported that the indoor activities of the physical department had been brought to a close and that arrangements were well in band for the sports and the closing social. The House Committee’s action in renovating the kitchen and in getting j necessary maintenance work done was i confirmed. The matter of the superannuation j scheme was referred back to the Finance Comm i t tee.
