UNION REPLIES TO LOCK-OUT PROPOSAL.

The Federation of Textile Employers at Krefeld, following the failure of negotiations with the workers, ordered a lock-out, commencing on October 28. The Ready-made Clothing Workers’ Union replied by calling a strike of its sixty thousand members. Unless an agreement is reached, the whole trade will be brought to a standstill.
