COMMISSION RETURNS EARLY NEXT MONTH. (Special to the “,Star.") \VELLINGTON. October 19. The Royal Commission which is in. quiring into the conditions in Samoa. is making such progress with the in-’ vestigations that it is expected to reach Auckland early next month. As the itinerary of the Tofua will not enable the Commission to connect with it on the next trip to Auckland. and as a subsequent call at Apia will not be made until well on in Noverm ber, arrangements are being made by the Government to divert the Hinemoa to Apia. on her next trip to Nine. She leaves Auckland on Saturday, and will take the Commission to Suva and ionnect with the Niagara on November It is anticipated that the Commission will have its reportprepared by the time it reaches New Zealand. but whether Parliament will have an opportunity of discussing it this session is a question that cannot be answered. In the ordinary course of events the report will go to the Governor-General and will be considered by Cabinet before being printed. There will thus be not much time to spare if the session ends, as is anticipated, about the middle of November. ‘
