June 22 The special correspondent of the “Toronto Globe" reports that General Pershing, speaking at the commencement Exercises at _ Princeton, New Jersey University, said:— "If the Allies had been unable to hold the line for the fifteen months while America got ready, we might not have been able to get into the war at all. or if we had got in we would have had to fight it alone."
