♦ LONDON, June 12. The King and Queen will take part in the spectacular opening of the new Regent Street, London, on June 23, which has been entirely re-built since the war, at a cost of £20,000,000.
The shops will have the finest window display in the world, some of the rents being as high as £2OOO a year lor a ten-foot shop front.
