GOVERNMENT URGED TO ASSUME CONTROL OF N.Z. BROADCASTING.

Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, June 21. A meeting of six hundred listeners-in to-night passed the following resolution: “That this public meeting of licensees and listeners, having lost all confidence in the intentions and capabilities of the Radio Broadcasting Company of New Zealand to satisfactorily control broadcasting in New Zealand strongly urges that the Government assume immediate and complete control of broadcasting on a basis similar to that now obtaining in Great Britain.”
