By the death of Mrs Marianne Fisher, who celebrated her hundredth birthday in Februarav last, South Australia lost its oldest colonist, and also lost a living link with the ship Buffalo, which brought the first settlers to South Australia in 1836. Mrs Fisher, who was a daughter of the late Sir James Hurtle Fisher, was aged ten when she arrived from England.
