NATIONAL BANK O T NEW ZEALAND. WELLINGTON. June 20 Cable advice has been received by the general nianager of the National Bank of New Zealand that the net profit for the year ended March 31 last, after providing for bad and doubtful debts and after paying a bonus to the staff absorbing £15,000. amounted to £312,274. which, with £1 73,044 brought forward from the previous year, leaves available for distribution £485,318. which it is proposed to allocate as follows:—In payment of a at the rate of 12 per cent and a bonus of 2 per cent per annum, £280,000: to premises account, £20,000; and to the pension fund, £9349; balance to be carried forward, £175.769. The dividend and the bonus are at the same rate as last year. SALE OF SECTIONS. Messrs Jones, M’Crostie Company, Ltd., report that following on their auction on Monday last, having sold (in conjunction with Messrs Baker Bros.) the balance of the sections in Clyde Road, on account of the owner, namely: Lyt 1, containing J-acre, to Mr Roskilley, for £300; lot 5, containing J-acre. for £325 to a client; lot 5, containing J-acre, for £325; lot 7, containing 1 acre 37 perches, for £700; and lot 4, containing half an acre and 39 perches, for £350, the whole subdivision being disposed of. THE PEOPEETT MARKET. Following the auction of Clyde Road sections last Monday night, Messrs Baker Bros., 166, Manchester Street, in conjunction with Messrs Jones, M’Crostie Company, Ltd., report having sold the remaining five sections to various buyers at satisfactory prices. They also report having sold, during the last few days. Mr Luxton’s superior section, College Avenue, Merivale, to Mr Webb, and Mr Lamb’s valuable section Walwetu Road, Fendalton. to Miss White-Parsone; also, on account of the owner, modern five-roomed bungalow in Spreydon, to Mr Knight.
