UNUSUAL FILM AT CRYSTAL PALACE.

« RETURN OF PETER GRIMM ” PROVES GREAT SUCCESS. The most outstanding feature of "Peter Grimm” is its originality and its boldness. It requires unusual talents fend courage to bring back on to the ptage and the screen a person who has passed away. • It must be confessed that this is done at Crystal Palace with marked success and in a nianner that holds the attention of all those who see this screen version of Mr David Bela sco's play. Frankly, “The Return of Peter Grimm” is a first-class picture drama, fascinating and gripping far beyond the average. It is not a spiritplay. but a remarkable story, remarkably and dramatically worked out, incident by incident, to the climax, which is both affecting and artistic. Romance and business are like oil and water. They will not mix. Miss Irene Rich tries to make them do so in “Eve’s Lover,” but fails signally. She is a very modern Eve, and she finds that she has to deal with a very modern serpent, who is made to see himself in all his iniquity, genuinely repents, behaves with great courage in a strike, saves Eve's big business and regrains her esteem and affection. The “ Paramount Gazette ” is a particularly Interesting and informative issue. The Symphony Orchestra provides an admirably varied musical programme.
