Strong exception was taken by members of the management committee of the Wellington Rugby League centre last night to the action of the English League Council in lifting the two years’ residential clause in the transfer of colonial players. A motion of protest was carried and it .was urged that the ruling body m Zealand should lake whatever action was possible to combat that clause.
