VICTORY FOR ANGLOIRISH TREATY SUPPORTERS.

The Dublin correspondent of “ The Times” states: “Although the returns are incomplete, it is clear that the Irish Free Stale elections have resulted in a victory for the supporters of the AngloIrish Treaty. Polling was unexpectedly heavy in nearly every constituency. The constitutional elements won, despite the Republicans’ admittedly superior organisation and large campaigning funds which De Valera recently obtained in America. “"Mr Cosgrave declared before the election that he would not remain in office unless he won at least fifty seats. This is now most doubtful, but the declaration will not prevent a big alliance I with some of the smaller constitutional | groups. This seems the most probable I as the result of an election which reaffirms the determination of the majority of the people in the Free State to support the Constitution.”
