MANY TREES WILL SOON BE PUT IN.

AUTUMN PLANTING ON CITY RESERVE. As soon as more rain comes on, Mr J. Young will plant 300 acres on the municipal reserves near Bottle Lake. The ground has been cleared, and is ready for the work, which will take a small batch of unemployed as well as Mr Young’s permanent staff. Macrocarpa and the American red cedar are the trees selected for most of the area, but Pinus maritimus will be planted near the beach.
