SOLICITOR STRUCK OFF LAW SOCIETY ROLL.

Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, March 17. The Court of Appeal dealt with the cases of the Law Society v. Wilfred Alex Black and John Munro Gillies: Mr von Haast appeared for the Law Society, and Mr Perry for Black. Gillies was not represented. The case of Black was adjourned until March 23, pending the arrival of affidavits from Auckland. The facts alleged in Gillies's case were that he failed to keep his trust account in order, and received altogether the sum of over £SOO for his own use, being trust moneys. In one instance Gillies took over work for one 'Benn from Irwin and Irwin, and collected £176 Ss lid, which Benn instructed him to return to Irwin and Irwin. Thi’s was not done, though Gillies stated that he had done so. Gillies was struck off the rolls of the Law Society, and ordered to pay £ls 15s costs.
