Norsemen were shipping lumber from America to Iceland 145 years before Columbus set sail from Europe. So Air Chase S. Osborn, former Governor of Alichigan, told the Lake Champlain As-
sociation in New York. Air Osborn said Norsemen not only discovered North America in 099 A.D., but a few years later were at the. mouth of the Hudson River, on the Great Lakes, and off the coast of Florida. This information, he said, was deduced from Norse sages by Scandinavian astronomers and geographers.
