MASTER BUILDERS PROTEST AGAINST CHILD ENDOWMENT.

A meeting of the Master Builders’ Association carried a resolution protesting against the Child Endowment Bill. It was stated that the Bill would add at least £3O to the cost of a small home. The New South Wales timber millers were already fighting for their existence, and, should another 6h per cent tax be. placed on wages, the hardwood timber industry of the State would die.
