The Canterbury Trades and Labour Council has appointed Mr H. Worrall to confer with the Chamber of Commerce regarding a bulletin to be issued shortly dealing with wages of workers in the Dominion. Though a minimum limit of seven entries was faxed for the garden competition of the Canterbury Horticultural Society this year, up till 9 p.m. yesterday, when entries officially closed, only three had been received. Unless more arc received to-day it is probable that the competition will not be held.
