STOCKINGS TO BE SOLD IN THREES.

(By SINBAD.) Some interesting news we read: Each maiden who silk stockings wears, the heads of fashion have decreed will be obliged to carry spares. The public admit atiou grows for ankles feminine and neat, they love the. sight of silken hose above a pair of dainty feet. But now that every day one sees what once would make the wowsers rave, to wit, unnumbered shapely knees, the ladder peril’s very grave. Our flappers do not find it fun, when hose are ruined day by day, for when one leg begins to run its mate perforce is cast away. But. then a very brainy bird, who must have been a motorist, came, forward with the joyful word that we the remedy had missed. He says that stockings should be sold no more in pairs, but rather threes, and thus when one is worn and old, the spare may then be donned with ease. But of the girls I’d ask one thing: Discovering a ladder dire, will they then ape the motor king and, like him, stop to change attire?
