LAMB APPEARS AT ENGLISH PARK ON MONDAY NIGHT.
There should be brilliant cycling at English Park oil Monday evening, when 71. W. (Fatty) L-amb will make his return appearance in Christchurch in three special match races with Frank Grn«e and ,T. I’Anson. The riding of all three in the Canterbury centre’s meeting on Wednesday last was most impressive, the two miles ] scratch race being one of the best seen ! here lor some time. The match races ■ will be over a quarter, half and mile, and everything points to some sensational racing. In addition to cycling handicaps, there will be a fine Athletic programme, when the pick of the local runners will ho seen in action. Including M. Lead bet ter. Dominion champion i sprinter, and K. R. Taylor, University distance champion. C. L. Allen, the crack Old Boys sprinter, will oppose the Misses Boyd. Maxwell, Unwin and Nclligan over a quarter-mile. The meeting, which will be held under the auspices of the Canterbury Amaleur Athletic Club, gives every indication of being a great success.
