FEWER NEW CASES OF INFECTIOUS DISEASE.
Only twenty-three cases of infectious disease were notified to the Medical Officer of Health for Canterbury and Westland for the week ended at noon to-day, compared with thirtyfour in the previous week. There were three deaths from infectious disease in Canterbury; two from tuberculosis and one frmo puerperal septicaemia.
