HOSPITAL MAID DISAPPEARS STRANGELY.

Per Press Association. BLENHEIM, January 25. A young woman named Leila Galey, aged twenty-one, whose parents reside at Washington Valley, Nelson arrived here on Saturday and commenced work as a maid at the Wairau Hospital. She disappeared on Sunday night, leaving a note, which can be interpreted as an intention to commit suicide. A police search has proved ineffective. She is five feet four in height, of thick-set build, has brown hair, cut with a fringe and has a curious glint in one eye. She wore a white dress, white stockings and black shoes.
