FROM AN OLD TRAVELLING RUG.

Cosy bed-side rugs, hearthrugs, pram covers, foot-muffs for the side-car, and hot water bottle covers are just some of the useful things you can make from an old travelling rug, after cutting away the worn parts. Use two thicknesses of material in each case (hot water bottle covers excepted) and bind all edges neatly with serge braid of contrasting colour. Any wraps that remain can be run up into Icfttle holders, coal gloves and padding for sleeve boards.
