At the New South Wales .Swimming Championships, the hundred yards backstroke resulted: — Saito (Japan) } Campbell 2 Kirkland 3 Won by two yards in lmin 13sec. 220 yards championship: Takaishi (Japan) 1 Charlton - •.. • 2 Nesre 3 Won by eight yards. Time—2min 17 Takaishi won impressively, showing that he is in a class above Chariton over 220 yards. The winners time was 0 4-5 seconds faster than the Australasian record and only 1 2-5 seconds outside the world's record. The High Diving championship resulted: Bassass 1, Tight 2, Coyle 3. 220 Yards Breaststroke championship: Bayldon 1, O’Connor 2, M’Clure 3. Won bv two vards. Time—3min 15 4-ssec.
