MR GARDEN IS NOT WANTED.

NOMINATION REJECTED BY THE GOVERNMENT. By Telegraph.—rFress Assn.—Copyright Aus. and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received January 13, 10.35 a.m.) SYDNEY, January 13. The Federal Government has refused to accept the nomination of Mr Garden, secretary of the New South Wales Labour Council, as a member of the Industrial Commission to be sent to the United States. The refusal has created great resentment, and the council has informed the Government that if the nomination is not accepted the State would refuse to be represented. Support for this attitude has been received from the labour in other States, and it is understood the American Labour Federation will refuse to receive a delegation unless Mr Garden is accepted.
