GIRL CITIZENS MEET IN CONFERENCE.
DISCUSS ORGANISATION OF Y.W.C.A. MOVEMENT. The annual conference of the Girl Citizens of the Y.W.C.A. of New Zealand opened yesterday at St Andrew's College, Christchurch. There are eighty-one delegates to this conference, representatives from Auckland, Wellington, New Plymouth, Gisborne, Palmerston North, Whangaroi, Christchurch ami Dunedin communities. Miss Bridgman, National Girls’ Work Secretary of the Y.W.C.A., is in charge of the conference, and with her is Miss Uentbam. headquarters secretary. The conference programme provides for early morning swimming, and physical exercises, followed by prayers. After breakfast, each day, a devotional period is to be conducted by t lie Rev .1. To-day the subject for dramatisation will be announced, and the contest will be hold this evening.
