One of the busiest members of the Auckland railway station staff on Monday evening was the porter employ-ed in hiring out pillows for a shilling. Pillows haA’e become very popular with long-distance travellers since the system was introduced, and this was borne out when every available one was sold some time before the departure of the last express. Four hundred and fifty pillows were disposed of to passengers on the three expresses.
