By lilting tno score from 231 to 428 in Auckland’s second innings against Otago, Aicott and Dacre created a new filth wicket partnership record in Plunket Shield cricket, the previous best be ing 160 by Blunt and Patrick for Canterbury against Wellington in the
1922-23 season. W. Cunningham is now among the players to take over fifty wickets in Plunket Shield matches, his figures being 52 for 1275 runs.
Sandman, who passed the one thou sand mark yesterday, has the following batting figures.— Innings—s 3. Not Outs—s. Highest Score—93. Total Runs—lo 23. Average—2l.3l.
