Per Press Association. GISBORNE, Jmuary 3. There was a sensational irtident dur* ing a sports meeting on Satirday. Morrison, a motor cyclist ;ompeting in the acceleration test again* a motorcar, attained a speed of fift\ miles an hour. He was unable to ngotiate a bend in the course and in adeavouring to avoid an obstacle tured sharpplv. The machine turned ompletelv round and threw the rider o*ar. It reared vertically and somersatled. The machine was considerably da raged but the rider was uninjured.
