WOMAN DROWNED HERSELF WHILE OF UNSOUND MIND.
Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, January 3. At the inquest on Airs Owen, of Petone, her husband, John Joseph Owen, said his wife went out on Sunday morning at, 5 o’clock. She could not be found later Samuel Joines said he saw the deceased acting strangely, apparently out of her mind, on the steps of the Petone wharf. He went for the police. When he returned the woman was in the water, dead. The jury returned a verdict that death was due to drowning while of unsound mind.
