GIPSY SMITH MISSION.

To the Editor. Sir, —As a constant reader I am much interested re the evangelist Gipsy Smith. I hear many comments and questions re the financial part of this great man. We are given to understand that he does not accept one perny from the funds collected. Even if he did is not such a man worthy of his hire? Our ministers get paid. Here this man comes and goes to all parts of the world as God’s messenger, trying to save souls. Even were he highly paid even to save one soul is it not worth it. Would the individuals who are tryii g to make trouble put themselves Out and go as Gipsy Smith does before the public. Any public man or woman has to be a butt in most cases. Here this one man has saved thousai ds of souls, and we all know in these days, whether saint or sinner, one has much to contend with before a public. Let us thank God that a Godfearing man has been sent in our midst to try and enlighten the ignorant. I, as a poor sinner, pray that Gipsy Smith may be spared long years yet to be able to go still forward and try to enlighten the people. And as saint or sinner let our daily prayer be, “ God help Gipsy Smith in his wonderful work.” Not a glimpse into the future. Father would I ask to see. Onl}- let us walk each moment With a child-like trust in Thee. I remain, etc., A. LISTENER.
