THRILLING RUGBY.

Notwithstanding the almost tropical heat, the game on the Cardiff Arms Park between Cardiff and Bristol provided one of the fastest and most thrilling encounters seen on the ground (says an English paper). Like the Welsh side, the Bristol players revelled in the new half-back rule that now obtains in games played in Wales. But for some determined tackling by Cardiff at the outset of the second half, Bristol might have carried off the honours. Corbett was the genius of Bristol’s attacks, and gave one of his most finished displays. He was. well seconded by Burland, who will surely make a name. Cardiff won by 21 points to 13.
